An intense grouping of religious figures suspended on an aluminium frame representing the silhouette of the Old City of Jerusalem skyline.

Frank Roper championed the process of producing great works of art from carved polystyrene . Using hot wands soldering irons and sandpaper he created dramatic depth and texture on relatively small works.After the figure is finished it is then buried tight in sand and the molten aluminium is poured. The polystyrene evaporates leaving the work with wonderful surface textures where often the outline of the foam bubbles remain.
